What is personal information?

This may be in person (for example, when you arrive onsite and book into your accommodation or on a tour), on the telephone (for example, if you call us to make a booking or enquiry), or online (for example, if you make a booking or enquiry online).
We may also obtain personal information from third parties such as other service providers who are combined with us to deliver a service (eg travel agents or your office when making a booking on your behalf). Any social media interaction or reference to us on any social media platforms gives us access to the information posted and details linked to that submission in a way we can use without your direct permission.

As part of administering our services, we may collect sensitive information.
We will limit the collection of sensitive information to the minimum amount required to perform our services.
What happens if you don’t provide all this information?

Website usage information and cookies

To whom does Sturt Desert Pea House disclose your personal information?

Where is your personal information stored
We take all reasonable steps to protect all of the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your personal information will be stored on a password protected electronic database, which may be on our database, a database maintained by a cloud hosting service provider. Backups of electronic information are written to external drives..
Hard copy information is generally stored in our offices, which are secured to prevent entry by unauthorised people. Any personal information not actively being used currently is archived, usually for 7 years.
Access to your personal information
We will, upon your request, and subject to applicable privacy laws, provide you with access to your personal information that is held by us. We will deal with your request to provide access to your personal information in a timely manner and you agree we may charge you our reasonable costs incurred in supplying you with access to this information.
